Trackers Safari Lodge
Boasting extraordinary views over the Bwindi Forest, Trackers Safari Lodge is in prime gorilla tracking territory in Uganda. Spectacular location and good for families with a sense of adventure.
The biggest attraction at Trackers Safari Lodge is the unbeatable gorilla tracking activity, which Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is known for. With the world’s largest population of mountain gorillas finding a home in the dense equatorial forest, it is a safe haven for these great apes as well as other primates, birds, and other mammals and insects. The lodge, which is built in the style of luxurious log cabins equipped with a pool, terrace, restaurant, and spa facilities, offers comfort and convenience to guests right inside the Bwindi Forest. Views over the mass of tangled trees is extraordinary, and rooms comfortably accommodate singles, doubles, and triples, making it a good option for families.

- Beautiful garden surroundings and views of the forest from the log cabin-style lodge and spacious bedrooms built on the slopes of Bwindi.
- Rooms have large windows allowing plenty of natural light, wooden beams and floorboards and bed posts, and spacious, tiled ensuite bathrooms.
- There is WiFi, a large swimming pool with sun terrace, restaurant where traditional, homemade food is made and served, balconies with views, and a bar area with fireplace and lounge.
- An added luxury is the spa and gym facility where a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam bath can be found. Plus, massages and facials can be booked with a spa therapist.
Trackers Safari Lodge is located close to the starting point of the gorilla tracking activity and most guests are after this once-in-a-lifetime experience. The beauty of the location is that after a strenuous trek, guests can come back to the lodge a short distance away and put their feet up and relax while still enjoying the feeling of being in the forest. There are also nature hikes and birding excursions offered by experienced guides at Trackers, which take place from the lodge and explore the surrounding forest and its inhabitants. If you would like to kick back and relax at the lodge, there are plenty of pampering facilities to make use of, and if you are keen to engage with the local Batwa or Pygmy people who are indigenous inhabitants of the forest, then go on a guided village tour where you can see what their traditional lives look like and purchase some of their handmade arts and crafts.
