Clouds Mountain Lodge is on the edge of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Nationa Park, near the Nkurino trail for gorilla trekking in Uganda. The lodge is the highest lodge in Uganda, with expansive views to the Virunga Volcanoes in front and the forest just behind you. The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is home to the endangered species, the mountain gorilla, which can be seen while exploring the forest with a gorilla trekking experience. Forest Walks and community visit's can be arranged.

Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge Activities
Mountan Gorilla Trekking is done in the nearby Nkuringo sector, with Rushaga Sector a drive away if permits are sold out. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a rain forest, home to the mountain gorilla. Every morning guest can experience gorilla trekking, accompanied by a guide and porter, in search of troops of mountain gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is moist, making it the perfect habitat area for mountain gorillas. Guests can look forward to long walks through the forest where they can observe various plant life while gorilla trekking. Mountain Gorillas hardly reside in one area, which makes gorilla trekking even more exciting as guests need to search and keep a lookout. Once gorillas are spotted, guests have the opportunity to photograph and marvel at the beautiful, one of a kind mammal, The Mountain Gorilla.
