Serian Nkorombo
Serian's tented mobile camp, Nkorombo, is located on a private riverfront site in the Masai Mara Reserve. With a view over the rushing Mara River, bursting with laughing hippo and languorous crocodile, this cosy little setup is full of charm. Life at Nkorombo, like that of Serian and Ngare Serian, is low-key and peaceful. The camp is nestled within a stand of wild olive and orange croton, right near to a busy salt lick frequented by black rhino, lion, and leopard on the prowl for kill... There is a lot of prey in this area, making it ideal for superb game viewing.
This camp has a more classic tented vibe than Serian and Ngare Serian. Nkorombo is entirely canvas, and elements like the time-honoured safari showers allude to the distinctions between fixed and movable camps. It consists of five spacious 'Selous style' tents decked out in safari manner of yore: leather, weathered wood, gauzy expanses of cotton, all add accents to the essential, attractive, and comfortable style that defines Nkorombo. The en-suite bathrooms, with flush toilets and bucket showers, combine wildness with luxury.

There are a vast variety of activities on offer at Serian Nkorongo including daily game drives where each party has their own open-top safari vehicle, as well as their own personal guide and spotter, which is the cornerstone of a safari experience at Serian. The freedom this gives you is essential for making the most of your stay: go wherever the day takes you, whether it's a full day out with a picnic in the wilderness or a nice siesta back in camp before that ice-cold sundowner. The experienced guides know the landscape well and will translate and depict it until you view it through their eyes.
