Located at the end of the Transpantaneira Highway, within a 2 minute walk to the river, the Jaguar Camp is certainly a gateway for cat sightings. Resting under the shade of the tropical acuri palm trees, each of the 10 rustic rooms have their own balcony complete with a hammock for relaxation.Hyacinth macaws, capuchin and howlers monkeys; and other wildlife. A true Pantanal escape!

Pantanal Jaguar Camp Activities
The walking trail at Jaguar Camp is ideal for birdwatching. The trail provides the best chance of seeing birds such as the blue crowned trogon, hyacinth macaw, fawn-breasted wren and the gray-headed tanager. A different perspective from the boat tour and 4x4 excursion !
Boating tours are extremely popular, and offer sightings of diverse wildlife. This is a popular tour for birding, where an entire world of birds open up. Waders, nocturnal species like owls can be spotted on night safaris. The wet season in the Pantanal is from November to April - a period of time that the vegetation becomes lush and the rivers swollen. The wet season is the time of year to see jaguar and the rare ocelots.
Game drives take place in a modified 4x4 safari jeep that seats 9 people comfortably. Guides have the skills to track and spot wildlife, and to go off road to find animals. There are also night drives and special-interest tour designed for families.
