Upon arrival at Victoria Falls airport, guests will be met by a driver who will transfer them by road to Hwange Main Camp in Hwange National Park. From Hwange Main Camp, guests will enjoy their first game drive through the Park to The Hide. This is where guests will enjoy their first three nights on safari.
The Hide is situated in one of southern Africa's finest game parks in Hwange National Park. This comfortable tented safari camp offers spectacular scenery as well as an abundance of wildlife. Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe and offers visitors 14 650 km² of prime African wilderness as well as a haven for wildlife.
The legendary Mana Pools is known for its wildlife, rich flood plains and magnificent views of the Zambezi River. The river boasts some of Africa’s most amazing tiger fishing and adventure canoeing safaris, creating the perfect combination of beauty and fun and making this World Heritage site a must-visit National Park. Guests will be transferred to the Zambezi Lifestyles Camp by light aircraft transfer after morning activities at The Hide, and so they embark on three days spent admiring the splendour of the Zambezi River.
The four twin-bed luxury mobile camp is set up prior to guests' arrival near the Zambezi River, providing the opportunity to canoe and fish, either from the river bank or off an island in the middle of the river. All tents have ensuite bathroom facilities that include flushing toilets and hot bucket showers, giving Zambezi Lifestyles Camp a luxurious camping reputation. A well-serviced mess tent with a dining and seating area forms part of the camp.
After the morning adventure and a filling breakfast, guests will embark on a game drive through Mana Pools National Park to their next destination; Kanga Bush Camp. Located in a remote private concession, this luxury tented camp provides the perfect safari getaway where visitors can explore this game-rich area of mopane woodland and the Kanga Pan. The waterhole that Kanga Camp overlooks is the only source of refreshment for much of the wildlife in the area, and it attracts large concentrations of plains game and buffalo, as well as, lion, leopard and wild dog.
In truly spectacular fashion, this perfectly positioned camp accommodates its guests in six canvas meru-style tents, one of which is a family tent. Constructed on raised wooden decks, the lounge, dining and bar areas provide great elevated vantage points over the surrounding woodland and the busy waterhole. Beautifully lit outdoor bathrooms are adjoined individually to each tent, which offer guests a unique open-air showering experience. This is an undeniably fantastic destination from where to tour Mana Pools.
After breakfast at Kanga Bush Camp, guests will be taken on a charter to Victoria Falls where they will spend their final night in Zimbabwe; at Ilala Lodge, which is the closest lodge to the Victoria Falls. There are plenty of adrenalin activities on offer to indulge the more adventurous guests, such as, thrilling white-water rafting, micro-lighting over the Falls, bungee jumping and much more.
Ilala Lodge is conveniently located close to the falls and is a family-owned lodge. Wildlife can be spotted roaming on the lawns - the lodge shares its borders with the National Park. Guests can expect to actually see the "smoke" from the Falls, which is a wonderful and unique site, and a reminder of the thunderous power of this plummeting water.
After breakfast and morning activities, guests are transferred back to Victoria Falls airport in time for their onward travel arrangements.
