Days 1 to 5 - Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge , Gonarehou National Park

This tour starts in Harare, from there you will fly to Chilo Gorge for 4 nights. This beautiful camp is built on the cliffs overlooking the Save River and the park. The main areas make the most of the views, with a pool and various areas to enjoy. Enjoy game viewing over the river below.

The chalets of Chilo Gorge are built with a private balcony and seating area to enjoy the sprawling views around you. Each room has en suite bathrooms and the rooms are elegant and comfortable. Game drives take centre stage here but birdwatching tours, cultural visits and walks can also be arranged. Gonarezhou National Park is home to an abundance of animals including lions, cheetah, wild dogs, hyena, large herds of elephants, buffalo and pods of hippos in the river.

Days 5 to 8 - Zambezi Expeditions , Mana Pools National Park

After breakfast you will fly via Harare to Mana Pools and the first camp of your 6 night stay in this area, Zambezi Lifestyles. This semi mobile camp is on the banks of the Zambezi River. This authentic tented safari camp offers canoeing and walking safaris, along with game drives, all led by incredibly knowledgeable guides.

Each Meru tent has an en suite bathroom with hot bucket showers. The tents are nestled under trees on the banks of the river. Zambezi Expeditions offers a truly authentic and unique safari in the magical Mana Pools area.

Day 8-11 - Kanga Bush Camp , Mana Pool National Park

After the morning adventure out on game drive and a filling breakfast, you will embark on a game drive through Mana Pools National Park where you will be welcomed at Kanga Bush Camp. Located in a remote private concession in Mana Pools, this luxury tented camp provides the perfect safari getaway where visitors can explore this game-rich area of mopane woodland and the Kanga Pan. The waterhole that Kanga Camp overlooks is the only source of refreshment for much of the wildlife in the area, and it attracts large concentrations of plains game and buffalo, as well as, lion, leopard and wild dog. In the dry season you do not have to go far to see the abundant game of the area and often it is best to stay in camp, in a comfortable armchair overlooking the waterhole!

In truly spectacular fashion, this perfectly positioned camp has canvas meru-style tents, one of which is a family tent. Constructed on raised wooden decks, the lounge, dining and bar areas provide great elevated vantage points over the surrounding woodland and the busy waterhole. Beautifully lit outdoor bathrooms are adjoined individually to each tent, which offer guests a unique open-air showering experience. This is an undeniably fantastic destination from where to tour Mana Pools.

Day 11-14 - Somalisa Camp , Hwange National Park

Say good bye to Mana Pools and fly to Hwange National Park for your last stop on this Wildlife Wonders of Zimbabwe Tour. Set in a huge private concession in the heart of Hwange National Park, Somalisa Camp is superbly remote and accentuates the genuine safari experience.

Somalisa Camp encompasses the bush camp feel with an elegant and sophisticated feel. Somalisa has mastered the art of blending understated elegance with African charm to offer an exclusive wildlife experience. This is where you will enjoy your last three nights on safari.

Its stunning location, tucked away on an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal floodplain, gives it breathtaking views of the savannah plains of the famous Kennedy Vlei. After the first rains have fallen, the vlei transforms as it is littered with the flamboyant colours of seasonal wild flowers. Once the grass begins to dry out large herds of buffalo, zebra and elephant are to be found in abundance.

Day 14 - Depart back to Victoria Falls Airport

After breakfast and morning activities, you are light air transferred to Victoria Falls airport in time for your onward travel arrangements.
