Bumbusi Camp
The historical ruins site and remote game viewing at Bumbusi Wilderness Camp give visitors the chance to have a unique safari experience in Zimbabwe. The camp offers a remarkably distinctive experience in a section of Hwange National Park that has been reclaimed, where the numerous gorges, drainage channels, and hills are ideal for safari enthusiasts who prefer to explore a place on foot.
The Bumbusi Wilderness Camp is tucked away in a shaded haven of old trees, which, together with the natural pool, attracts wildlife, especially during the dry season. The stunning geology of this reclaimed wilderness is complemented by the stone and thatch chalets, which all have views of the water and lawns. Expect warm baths, a refreshing pool to cool off in after a lovely walking safari, cosy mattresses, and delicious coffee and meals cooked over the fire! In between safari activities, you can relax in our fireside chairs overlooking our natural pool, and for chilly or inclement weather, the lovely library room is a suitable alternative. Bumbusi Environment Camp, all things considered, is exquisitely created to complement our wide range of safari activities and the singular wilderness that we have to ourselves.

Although there are many other game drive routes that one can take, Bumbusi is very drawn to the countless and diverse walking safaris that are offered. The gorges, rivers, and hills make for excellent walking safaris, and we periodically follow the tracks of different Big 5 animals. As the dry season progresses, game, especially elephant, congregates near and in camp, making it possible for you to frequently enjoy breathtaking game viewing from your chalet or the pool! The Bumbusi National Monument is also nearby; its rock carvings and "Great Zimbabwe style" ruins architecture provide a magnificent depth to the Bumbusi safari experience and are only a short drive or interesting walk away.
