Semliki Safari Lodge
Semliki Lodge, the sole lodge in the Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve, is traditional and rustic, providing a completely private game viewing experience. Eight canvas tents with thatched roofs have sparkling hardwood floors, hand-carved four poster beds, and plush Persian carpets. Private verandas offer panoramic views, while vast rooms and sofas piled high with pillows entice guests to relax for hours.
The main lodge is a large, comfortable living space where guests may watch the sunset, tell stories about their day's excursions, and congregate around massive, hand-hewn tables to share delicious meals. A dazzling swimming pool provides not only a great spot to wind down, but also breath-taking views of the Blue Mountains. Aside from morning and evening game drives, guests can participate in chimp tracking or go on a guided stroll in the jungle. The abundant birdlife is perfect for birdwatchers, while passionate fishers can try their luck on a boat ride on Lake Albert. Visits to the local community might be arranged to provide a look into traditional living.
