Tshahitsi Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
Guests are amidst the habitat of the Kalahari black-mane lion, the regal gemsbok, meerkat and the land of the Bushman. The Kalahari is a desert eco-system covering large parts of South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana. Herds of springbok and blue wildebeests are common within the area and often extremely fast cheetah is spotted. The Kalahari is located in the North West of South Africa. Much of the land is called the "Green Kalahari" and is full of farms, sheep and cattle ranches, and the largest wine region in South Africa. Various game can be spotted within the area such as wildebeest, warthog, duikers, eland, kudu, impala, leopard, brown and spotted hyena, caracal and the African Wild cat. Smaller residents include the bat-eared and cape foxes, the honey badger, mongoose and over 200 species of birdlife.
