The lodge plays homage to the Mdluli people with its informative cultural centre on-site. When guests aren’t learning about the history of the area, downtime can be spent exploring the viewpoints on the massive granite structure overlooking the vast expanse of the Kruger. The infinity pool that spills over into the edge of the bushveld is also a major highlight for visitors. Mdluli Safari Lodge is a large lodge boasting 50 modern and stylish canvas tents built on raised wooden platforms, each with panoramic views of untouched Big 5 territory.

Mdluli Safari Lodge is situated in a prime game viewing area in the Kruger National Park, and offers substantial scope for game viewing. There is a waterhole close to the lodge grounds, frequented by huge herds of plains game, wading birds and prowling predators. Breeding herds of buffalo and elephant are often seen from the waters of the infinity pool, making it one of the desired places for game viewing during the summer.

The huge granite rock viewing point at the lodge is ideal for enjoying 360 panoramic views of the national park, and guests are free to walk to the viewpoint at their leisure. Scheduled activities include guided game drives and bush walks in the fascinating ecosystem of the Kruger. Professional guides will lead guests on a meandering walk through the wild, introducing the unique fauna and flora of the Kruger. While out on foot there’s plenty of time to observe the small creatures and learn about the healing properties of the surrounding vegetation. Game drives led by knowledgeable guides cover plenty of ground, and depart twice a day during peak predator hours.
