Anvil Bay
In the most southern national park of Mozambique, Anvil Bay is a private and exclusive barefoot beach camp on a rare uninhabited stretch of coastal wilderness. Only 10 Casinhas, each with its own section of beachfront, are built on stilted wooden decks and tucked away in the dune forest. Anvil Bay is a beach in Africa that hasn't changed much throughout the years. Visitors may experience life close to nature while yet enjoying all the luxuries of civilization on a unique undeveloped length of coastline.
The lodgings, known as Casinhas (a little house in Mozambique), are located just a few feet from a quiet white sand beach, tucked away in the coastal forest's canopy. They combine minimal environmental impact, local workmanship, and natural materials with straightforward, useful furniture and luxurious linen. A well-stocked minibar and beverage station, luxurious indoor and outdoor baths, and a private dining deck en-suite are all features of this home-away-from-home. The thatch and canvas construction makes use of the calming seaside breezes, and the canvas sides may be rolled up to fully immerse oneself in the surrounding landscape. In order to better appreciate the magnificent African night sky and to avoid disturbing the turtles during the nesting season, outside illumination has been kept to a minimum.
