Day 1 to 4: Makanyi Lodge, Timbavati
Board your scheduled flight from Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport for Hoedspruit Airport. On arrival you will be driven into nearby Timbavati and on to Makanyi Lodge where you will spend 3 nights on a fully inclusive basis. Makanyi Lodge offers safari-goers a truly sophisticated yet authentic safari experience. Each of the suites is spacious with private decks overlooking the surrounding bush and the waterhole.There is a lounge area and fireplace in each room and each has an outdoor shower. The main area has a pool and deck along with indoor and outdoor dining areas. Food and service at Makanyi are exemplary.
The Timbavati Private Game Reserve is well known for diverse game viewing. Makanyi's guiding teams are experienced and know the area well. Lions, leopards, elephants, plains game and more are very regularly spotted in the Timbavati.Enjoy twice-daily game drives, bush walks, stargazing with a telescope, specially designed photographic vehicles, a spa and a gym.
Day 4 to 8: Sabi Sabi Little Bush Lodge , Sabi Sand
After breakfast you will return to Hoedspruit Airport for a charter flight to the Sabi Sabi airstrip where your guide will be waiting to collect you. You will spend 4 nights at Little Bush Lodge on a fully inclusive basis.Little Bush Lodge is an intimate and luxurious safari camp, nestled along a dry riverbed. This contemporary African designed lodge is five stars and offers an exclusive experience. Sabi Sabi is part of the National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World which ensures that you will be treated to a sublime experience. Each suite has both indoor and outdoor showers, private viewing decks, with heated spa baths, overlooking the riverbed. The main areas have high ceilings and beautiful décor, along with amazing food and service.
Game Viewing at Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve is outstanding. The diverse habitat is home to not only the big 5, but also the endangered wild dogs and cheetahs, and a plethora of other wildlife and birds. Activities include twice-daily game drives, game drives and access to the Amani Spa at Bush Lodge or Earth Lodge.
Day 8: Return to Johannesburg
After your morning activity and brunch, you will return to the Sabi Sabi airstrip for your charter flight back to Johannesburg International Airport for your onward travel.
