Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge Game Viewing and Activities

Pilanesberg National Park, which covers some 55 000 hectare, is the fourth largest in southern Africa. This malaria-free park is perched on the eroded vestiges of an alkaline volcanic crater - one of only three such craters in the world. On its undulating hills and everlasting open plains, guests can expect to see the Big Five, an abundance of other animals and over 360 species of bird. In addition to the Big Five, ther area is home to the nocturnal brown hyena, cheetah, hippo, crocodile and the rare sable antelope. These animals can be seen at any number of the surrounding waterholes and provide excellent game viewing. Guests can either brave it on foot, or seek asylum from the sun and bush under the canopy of a game watching vehicle. There is so much to do at neighbouring Sun City, should guests feel like the excitement of this lively holiday destination. Activities on offer include golf, tennis, squash, ten pin bowling, horse riding, visiting a crocodile farm, casino, and live entertainment venues. The National Park accommodates virtually every mammal of southern Africa and is also home to the Big Five, so guests are expected to enjoy magnificent sightings. See buffalo on regular occasions as they have taken shelter in the more remote areas of the Black Rhino Nature Reserve that is not accessible to any other visitor to the Park.
