Not only are the water courses of the Blyde River well inhabited with hippo and crocodiles, the Reserve is home to nyala, impala, wildebeest, zebra, bushbuck, duiker, steenbuck, kudu and bush pig. The Northern Drakensberg escarpment provides magnificent scenery.
