A variety of wildlife activities are available in the Hluhluwe iMfolozi Game Reserve including game drives in the morning and evenings as well as hiking, horse and mountain bike trails in the forests and along the pristine shores of Lake St Lucia. Cultural tours can also be arranged on Quad bikes and offers guests an interactive insight into the rural culture of a Zulu community. The bird- watching is superb and birdwatchers can take a sunset boat cruise on the Hluhluwe River Lodge and see a variety of interesting riverine bird species. Guided day trips to Mkuze game reserve and the coastal marine reserves of St Lucia, Cape Vidal and Sodwana Bay can also be arranged.
