Thornybush Kamara House
Opened in May 2023, the exclusive-use Kamara House is the newest luxury safari accommodation in the Thornybush Nature Reserve and is part of Game Lodge’s refurbishment. A private house overlooking a small riverbed, it’s perfect for multigenerational families or small groups.
The interiors of Kamara House are a modern fusion of natural textures and tones that evoke the surrounding jungle. The villa-style home features two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a third room that connects to the master bedroom but only has a shower. After supper, you can either stargaze from your deck while the lions roar in the background or sit around the table and discuss the sights you saw that day. Everything is taken care of by the helpful staff and a personal butler will be on hand as soon as you arrive, allowing you to spend the day reading on a sun lounger or taking in the scenery from the rim-flow plunge pool. Head over to the Spa from the Game Lodge nearby for a wellness massage or some pre-lunch beverages on the main deck.
