Lalibela Kichaka Lodge
Lalibela Game Reserve is located in South Africa's Eastern Cape, near to Port Elizabeth and Addo, and not only is it malaria-free, but it also spans five habitats, resulting in an incredible diversity of flora and animals. Lalibela is a conservation project that now covers 10,500 hectares (about 26,000 acres) and is home to the Big 5 (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), as well as other predators like as cheetah, hyena, jackal, and lynx.
The ten suites at Kichaka are furnished in the same sumptuous manner as the main lodge, and the bathrooms are opulent, with big bathtubs, rain shower heads, and "his & hers" basins. Each suite features an own terrace with a heated plunge pool and an outdoor shower. The apartments have been strategically positioned to accentuate the feeling of being in the wilderness. The main lodge at five-star Kichaka Lodge is made of natural stone and thatch, which mixes perfectly with the surrounding scenery. The lodge underwent substantial renovations in 2020. The new Kichaka's décor is a modern spin on classic safari and colonial styles, creating a pleasant and elegant setting. The upstairs library space has been expanded, providing numerous pleasant spots to unwind in. There is a rim-flow swimming pool positioned on the edge of the main deck, so the pool water blends smoothly with the waterhole. The architect-designed spa, located above the waterhole, features floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows that allow visitors to stare out into the neighbouring 'hippo hollow' in complete seclusion.
