Woodbury Tented Camp
Woodbury Tented Camp is located within the Amakhala Game Reserve. There are 7 tents at the camp and it boasts views of the spectacular plains, which are filled with game, giving guests the feel of an African safari.

Woodbury Tented Camp operates in a “Big 5” area where guests have a chance of seeing elephant, white and black rhino, leopard, buffalo and lion, as well as a variety of other game including hyena, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and many species of antelope. Smaller but no less members of this ecosystem as birds and plants are also a popular highlight in the area. A Conservation Centre has been established within the game reserve to assist in the development of a sustainable environment. The reserve tries to conserve the area by understanding the relationships between the vegetation, herbivores and carnivores within the ecosystem. This includes monitoring the effects of the animals on the plants, as well as observing the behaviour, diet and spatial utilisation of the animals. Amakhala Conservation Centre was awarded the 26 June 2008 at the Kudu Award Ceremony; the annual SANParks event in Pretoria, with an "Environmental Education/Capacity Building Merit Award”. The reserve was awarded for its commitment to conservation, through educational programmes.

Woodbury Tented Camp Game Viewing
Amakhala Game Reserve offers breathtaking views and is home to an incredible array of wildlife including rhino, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, black wildebeest, zebra, tortoise and well over 16 antelope species. Experienced and knowledgeable rangers will accompany guests on all game activities, providing them with in-depth information about the region and its inhabitants. For guests seeking relaxation at its best, a slow cruise down the Bushman's River can be enjoyed. Exceptional bird viewing and sightings of game drinking at the river's edge can be enjoyed while canoeing down this very river. Guests are also given the opportunity of lion sightings in the famous Shamwari Game Reserve, situated next to Amakhala Game Reserve.
