Kwessi Dunes Game Viewing and Activities
The NamibRand Nature Reserve is a private reserve in the Sossusvlei area, within the vast Namib Desert. This rugged and untamed desert landscape offers a surprising array of activities. Spend the day visiting Sossusvlei’s huge red dunes and petrified trees of Dead Vlei. Activities on the NamibRand reserve include nature walks and quad bike tours, looking for the unusual animals that have adapted to desert living. Start your morning with a hot air balloon flight and stare in wonder as the sun hits the dunes.
The NamibRand Reserve is one of only a few places in the world designated as a Gold Tier International Dark Sky Reserve meaning that the night skies are not to be missed!
Animals found in the Namib include gemsok (or Oryx), springbok, zebra, kudu and more. Elusive animals such as leopard and brown hyena area also found in the reserve and cheetah have been reintroduced.
