It is the first Green Globe certified lodge in Madagascar. The real luxury of Eden Lodge is simply being there, residing in comfort whilst immersed in the diverse and untouched lush natural habitat of Madagascar. Baobab Beach is a 30min boat trip from Nosy Be on Madagascar's northern mainland.
Baobab Beach is a vision of pure white sand backed by lush, green forest and scattered with enormous, ancient baobab trees. Only a tiny Madagascan village inhabits the surrounding area, and the lack of roads prevent the pollution that cars bring to a beach paradise. Eden Lodge is a quiet hideaway on a glorious 8 hectare stretch where guests can enjoy their own interpretation of paradise. Each suite subtly blends traditional construction with luxury, creating a perfect harmony with the environment and greatly comfortable beach front accommodation. Each suite has a king size rosewood bed enclosed in a beautifully embroidered mosquito net, a work area with an ocean-view, a safe and minibar. A spectacular bathroom opens out onto a terrace where guests can enjoy massage and other beauty treatments (each lodge is equipped with a massage table in the privacy of the garden). Bedrooms also have their own private balconies, which present the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the ocean-view. Well in touch with nature, Eden Lodge has been built using local materials in the construction, such as Anjanojano stone, the trunks of fallen trees and coconut leaves.

Eden Lodge Activities
The bar and restaurant are housed in a magnificent and spacious unit, situated on the beach and designed to encourage ultimate relaxation – lie back on one of the sun-loungers, read, play a Madagascan board game or simply contemplate the ocean. There is also the possibility to connect to the internet via wifi. The elegant cuisine served at the Lodge restaurant has its roots in the fresh produce, and is inspired by Madagascan and Oriental flavours and spices. Naturally there is a wide variety of seafood on offer, but the specialities for which Madagascar if famed have not been forgotten – foie gras, filet of zebu and a large selection of exotic fruits. Guests are invited to relax and enjoy a massage, as well as other treatments, in the privacy of their own chalets, or balconies. For an adventure and fresh sea air, boat trips to the surrounding areas are offered each morning, where guests can discover the sublime natural habitat and meet the local Sakalava people. Additionally, a range of gentle water sports are available, which respect the delicate environment of Nosy Be. Sea kayaks, pedalo and snorkels and masks are free to hire, as well as windsurfing boards and a hobie-cat.
