After a one day stay in Rio (don’t worry you will come back), you head off into Amazonia’s rain forests. Here you can expect to see close up all the incredible wildlife and fantastic vegetation that this region has to offer.
You get comfortable accommodation on a full board basis, at the Cristalano and Araras lodges which pride themselves on offering guests a relaxed intimate and awe-inspiring stay. Guided walks, kayaking and horse back riding are your day to day activities.
A special highlight is a three night cruise on the Jaguar house boat where you literally sleep on the Amazon river !

Days 1 to 2 - Rio de Janeiro - Hotel to be confirmed
Arrive at the hotel in Rio de Janeiro. The rest of the day is at leisure. Explore the city of long golden beaches or just relax from the long flight.
Days 2 to 6 - Cristalino Lodge, Alta Floresta
Morning flight via Cuiabá to Alta Floresta in the north of Mato Grosso, the largest and most intact rain forest region in the world. It is considered one of Amazonia’s best for spotting rare birds and mammals, including the endangered white-nosed bearded saki monkey, lowland tapir, giant otter and five species of macaw. Transfer to the Cristalino Jungle Lodge, located in a stunning private reserve. Heralded by National Geographic magazine as one of the world’s best eco lodges, it offers high observation towers, boat tours and expert guided walks.
Days 6 to 10 - Araras Lodge, Pantanal
Flight to Cuiabá and transfer to the Araras lodge. The lodge is located within one of the most beautiful regions of the Pantanal. The sound of the birds at dawn, breath-taking sunsets, giant otters playing by the river and alligators enjoying the sun will create unforgettable experiences.
Guest observe a big variety of birds, animals and reptiles. Activities include nature hikes, horse- back riding, night walks, canoeing, and photo safaris.
Days 10 to 13 - Jaguar House Boat, Taiama Reserve
Transfer from Araras lodge to the Jaguar House Boat embarkation point at Cáceres.
During their stay at the Jaguar House Boat, guest join daily river safaris to spot Pumas, Ocelots and Jaguars at the channels of the Ilha Taiamã Reserve.
Days 13 to 15 - Rio de Janeiro - Hotel to be confirmed
Transfer to Cuiabá airport for return flight to Rio de Janeiro. After an incredible stay in the wild you now get to experience this amazing cosmopolitan city.
On the full day excursion guests will take the two-stage cable car up to the top of Sugar Loaf Mountain for amazing views of the city. Afterwards you will visit the Corcovado mountain with the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer with a breath- taking view over Rio.
