Mowani Mountain Camp Description
Mowani Mountain Camps remote postion is major asset for this camp. With spectacular views of the desert it offers 12 luxurious East African style safari tents with beautiful en-suite bathrooms and a private viewing deck. There is also an exclusive luxury suite available with satelite TV and a private butler service. Mowani's main area consists of 6 thatched dome-shaped structures offering a bar, lounge and dining area. Guests can relax around the camp fire after dinner and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the bush and the night sounds of the desert. Mowani Mountain Camp also offers a pool and a sundeck where guests can relax and unwind.

There are a variety of activities on offer at Mowani Mountain Camp.
Guests can enjoy early morning guided nature drives where you will expect to see indigenous game such as mountain zebra, kudu, springbok and ostrich. If you are lucky enough, Leopard and cheetah are also found in the area. One can also go in search of the elusive desert elephant. For those interested, hiking trips are also available.
Twyfelfontein is famous for its Bushmen engravings and paintings. This magnificent archaeological site offers more than 2,500 engravings as well as various paintings, and is probably the finest example of rock engravings in Southern Africa. Outings to view these can be organised within the camp.
