Huab Lodge Description
Huab Lodge offers comfortable stone and thatch bungalows with en-suite facilities situated along the river bank offering beautiful views. Each unit offers a private patio. The chalets offer mosquito nets, a ceiling fan, and a torch as well as biologically degradable soaps and shampoo are provided; 24 hour 220 volt power is provided by a silent solar energy plant concealed on the hill. The main building is a large thatch roof with open sides; there is a cosy sitting area as well as a library. A permanent coffee and tea bar is available throughout the day. The lodge offers a dining area as well as a small curio shop and a bar. Huab Lodge also offers a unit for the physically disabled. The lodge also offers a thermal spring as well as a swimming pool. The freshest drinking water is available and salads and herbs served at the table come fresh from the kitchen garden. Huab Lodge also offers a wellness centre where guests can rejuvenate tired bodies and minds.
Haub Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
Activities at Huab Lodge include guided walks as well as nature drives. Experienced guides will share knowledge of the fauna and flora with guests and make it a memorable experience. Guests can enjoy tracking Desert Elephant; bird-watching is prolific with almost 200 bird-species in the reserve. The Huab River offers a variety of animals coming to the water to drink which guests will be able to enjoy on an afternoon nature drive. Hiking is also available. A visit to Twyfelfontein will reveal ancient rock art, rock formations and spectacular scenery. The Himba Village offers a true cultural experience where guests will learn about their survival skills.
