Jackalberry Lodge Description
Jackalberry Lodge offers 7 luxurious chalets each consisting of a bedroom and en-suite bathroom with a bath and indoor and outdoor showers. Facilities in the chalets include telephones, hair- driers, tea/coffee station, a safe, guest amenities, mini bar, air-conditioning, mosquito nets and private patios. The lodge also offers a restaurant for indoor dining as well as a Boma for an outdoor bush dining. Other facilities at the lodge include a swimming pool, library and curio shop.
Jackalberry Lodge Game Viewing
Thornybush Nature Reserve is home to more than 60 species of wildlife, including the big five, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino, hyena and cheetah. Jackalberry is also a paradise for birdwatchers, where more than 280 bird species have been recorded. Expert rangers and trackers conduct game drives in open safari vehicles every morning and evening. Walking safaris are also on offer. At the end of a day, superb cuisine is enjoyed at the open boma next to the pool where guests can relax by the crackling camp fire, listening to the night sounds of Africa as the animals come to drink at the floodlit waterhole.
