Hippo Hollow Country Estate consists of 37 thatched comfortable semi self-catering chalets, 26 hotel rooms or 28 deluxe rooms, which either overlook the beautiful gardens or the impressive Sabi River. The lodge has 2 large swimming pools as well as a curio shop. Guests can dine in the a la carte restaurant and choose from a variety of delicious dishes and enjoy a selection of South African wines from the wine cellar whilst watching the sight of kingfishers and other beautiful water birds or the grazing of the hippopotamus on the lawn against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset. Hippo Hollow also offers a large conference centre with full banqueting facilities and all the standard conference equipment.

The area around Hippo Hollow Country Estate offers a wide variety of activities and excursions. Guests can choose between exciting flights over deep canyons or explore the magnificent Sabie River or waterfalls. The area offers spectacular photographic opportunities, fly along the escarpment to Gods Window and the Three Rondavels or visit Blyde River Canyon (1000 metres deep and 30km long). Picnics can also be arranged at the Pinnacle with magnificent views. The Kruger National Park is only a 10-minute drive away from the lodge.
