Blyde River Canyon Lodge is situated along the scenic Panorama Route in the Blyde River Botanical Reserve in the Mpumalanga/Limpopo Province. The reserve is home to an abundance of wildlife and offers spectacular scenery. The lodge offers comfortable accommodation and superb service and is only a short drive away from the Kruger National Park.
Blyde River Canyon Lodge offers elegant en-suite rooms and one luxury cottage all leading out onto beautiful gardens. Accommodation consists of five double/twin rooms and one Honeymoon Suite. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are fully air- conditioned and equipped with satellite TV as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a two bedroom, two bathroom luxury cottage set aside from the main lodge which offers a lovely living area. Both the cottage and the luxury rooms lead out onto the tranquil gardens. A full buffet breakfast is served daily on the outside deck. Scrumptious lunches and dinners may be arranged and enjoyed under the African sky or by firelight on cold winter nights in the dining room.
The Blyde River Canyon Lodge is situated in a reserve rich in wildlife. Not only are the water courses of the Blyde River well inhabited with hippo and crocodiles, the Reserve is home to nyala, impala, wildebeest, zebra, bushbuck, duiker, steenbuck, kudu and bush pig. The Northern Drakensberg escarpment provides magnificent scenery. The following activities are available in the area, River Rafting and Tubing, Boat trips, Micro Lighting, Paintball, Abseiling, Hot Air Ballooning, Kloofing, Quad bikes & Dirt Cars, Bombyx Mori Silk Farm Private Game Drives, Kapama Endangered Species Centre - Cheetah project Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Horse Riding, Kruger National Park Elephant Back Safaris, Hiking trails. The lodge is conveniently situated on the Panorama Route which includes the Three Rondawels, Gods Window, Bourkes Luck Potholes, Berlin Falls and of course the unique Blyde River Canyon, which is considered to be one of the natural wonders of Southern Africa.
