Located on the banks of the Klaserie River, Makumu not only offers the opportunity to spot big game, but boasts a spectacular natural landscape.

Just a quick note to let you know how much Nellie and I enjoyed staying at Makumu Lodge. We have stayed at many different places over the years, but I can assure you this tops all other. It was absolutely fantastic, 5 star in every respect, and I can highly recommend it to others.
It is a small exclusive boutique lodge, but in addition to it being small, for the 3 days we were there, we were the only guests! The safari game drives were excellent as well. The Zulu king bed suite was amazing. And the food…., and the company during breakfasts and dinners with the managers, and owner on the last day…. I really can’t say enough about it.
