Client Feedback : Whale Watching, Cape Town and a Life Changing Safari

Rooms at Umkumbe

Liselle’s guests enjoyed a life changing safari in the Sabi Sand and Klaserie. They combined this with a coastal extravaganza in Cape Town, and whale watching in Hermanus. They stayed at : Cape Cadogan, Ocean Eleven, Umkumbe Safari Lodge and nThambo Tree Camp.

Here is their feedback:

Hi Liselle,

There are no words or phrases in the English language to describe how perfect this holiday was. Transcendent? Life changing?  They don’t do my trip justice.

Everything was absolutely perfect.  The B&Bs (Cape Cadogan and Oceans Eleven) were gorgeous and the service exceptional. Cape Cadogan smelled heavenly and I’ve been trying like mad to find the diffuser and scent they use. Nadine was a terrific host and the breakfast was fantastic.  Oceans Eleven is one of the most gorgeous spots I’ve ever been to. Megan and Rejoice were warm, lovely and welcoming. The huge bathtub was exactly what I needed after a cold shark dive.  The dives themselves were absolutely fabulous and I managed to get rammed in the cage by a great white!!! I have a stunning photo of the dorsal fin!!!

Umkumbe Lodge was beyond amazing. Our guide, Jade, was  one of the nicest girls I’ve ever met, and quite knowledgable, patient and kind. The food was delicious and plentiful. The bomas were cosy and the camp itself was beautiful. We saw plenty of animals passing by the lodge as well as out on game drives.

Nthambo Tree Camp was an experience like no other. The tree houses were beautiful.  Our ranger, Rey, was hilarious and worked hard to get us to up close to animals. It was every photographer’s dream. Our last night there was EPIC. Ranger Rey took us to see a hippo. I’d mentioned really wanting to see one and it happened. The foods was outstanding. Absolutely outstanding. I enjoyed the communal dining experience and met some wonderful people there.

I have a new saying and it is “Everything goes perfectly in Africa”.

I do have loads of photos but I’m at work right now so I can’ access them. However, I will forward some when I get them organized.  I did enquire about another trip via your website. I am planning to go back in 2019. I’ve got Africa running through my veins now. I just wanted to get a glimpse of pricing so I can plan accordingly over the next year. Shall I just contact you directly? I”m interested in perhaps going to  Botswana for safari and shark diving again but that means I’d have to do two countries and I’m not sure if that’s a good idea, so perhaps you can help with that. I was also interested in going to St. Lucia to the wetlands to see the crocodiles. So many options! I’m sure you can help out with this and suggest what you think would work.  I completely trust you since you were the one who planned my perfect get away!

So yes, I’m going back to Africa in 2019!  I knew I would have a great time, but I did not expect to be completely enamoured with the place and people so much that I’m basically saving every penny to return!

Sorry about the rental car. Birgit can’t drive worth a crap. I asked her several times if she would be alright driving and she said she would be fine but she doesn’t know her own limits. Thank you so much for your assistance there. I did call Illios travel to set up road transfers and they were both helpful and wonderful, as seems to be the norm in Africa!

Cheers,

Karai
