Fothergill Island
Fothergill is a distinctive water and land-based safari experience that is perfectly wedged between Hwange National Park and Mana Pools. It was named in commemoration of Rupert Fothergill, Rhodesia's Chief Game Warden, who oversaw the gallant wildlife rescue mission Operation Noah.
Fothergill provides 2 family suites and 5 individual accommodations. Lovely green grass and open, expansive areas can be seen on the camp's lakeside. Families should definitely consider this side of the camp because all 3 of the individual tents and the family tent enjoy spectacular views of Lake Kariba.There are two individual tents and one family tent on the camp's more vegetated side near the bush. The portion closest to Little Fothergill is on this side. A little pool is available for cooling down in each of the suites. Two different lounge and eating tents, a bar area and a larger pool are all located in the main area. In addition, Little Fothergill has a large lounge and eating area with private pool and this camp is for exclusive use. It also has 3 tents so that a family looking for privacy or a group of friends vacationing together would find it to be ideal. The schedule of each day at Little Fothergill can be customised to the group's interests, and all meals and activities are provided on a private basis. The tour leader and assistant tour leader will plan the ideal trip, and the chef and camp staff will make sure that there are enough of creature comforts and treats for all visitors.

Each experience, including boat cruises, catch-and-release fishing, game drives, and large game walks, is conducted by a knowledgeable guide. Managed by African Parks, Matusadona National Park is undergoing an exciting reintroduction of iconic species like cheetah and black rhino.
