Jaci's is located in an ideal spot overlooking an established and well used water hole, under a grove of Tamboti trees, on the edge of the Marico River.
Jaci's Safari Lodge Description
Jaci's Safari Lodge consists of seven spacious rooms, one cottage and the exclusive 2 bed-roomed "Nare Suite". All rooms are built with thatched roofs, canvas walls and large tented windows. The Main Lodge consists of a spacious lounge and open plan dining area with uninterrupted views of the bush. Enjoy fire cooked meals in the enclosed boma, or under the stars at a bush braai. The main complex is different, open plan, curved around a huge anthill, under shady trees overlooking the water hole and on the banks of the Marico River. Upstairs is a quiet reading space. There is also a well-stocked ethnic craft shop. Jaci's Safari Lodge has a fully equipped gym situated between Jaci's Safari Lodge and Jaci's Tree lodge as well as a kiddie's play area, overlooking the river. The exclusive Nare Suite - accommodates four guests - has a self contained kitchen (for resident chefs to prepare meals for you in the luxury of your own retreat), lounge and outdoor dining area. The remaining eight thatched rooms of Jaci's, each offer a charming built in, en-suite hand-made rock bath with an outdoor "safari" shower, and fans to keep a gentle breeze flowing. Six of the rooms have twin beds and the seventh and eighth room have king size four-poster beds. Each room has a hand made ceramic fireplace surrounded by a stone chimney. The deck in front of the room allows you to sit and enjoy the surrounding sights and smells of the bushveld - whilst watching the animals walking past to drink.

The Madikwe Game Reserve is home to a tremendous diversity of fauna and flora. It is home to lion, leopard, over 400 elephant, black and white rhino, buffalo, hippo, brown and spotted hyena, giraffe, wild dog, and cheetah. In addition, the expansive grass plains boast gemsbok, springbok, and over 340 species of birds. The camp is a superb walking and open vehicle safari destination where guests are accompanied by well-trained and informative rangers who are able to interpret the many encounters whilst on safari. Jaci's Safari Lodge offers both early morning and evening game drives and walks.

Thakadu River Camp is a luxurious tented safari camp overlooking the Marico River in the Madikwe Game Reserve offering beautiful views. Accommodation is luxurious and the safari tents have private viewing decks. The camp is family-friendly and four units can accommodate children. The lodge offers guided walking safaris as well as game drives in open safari vehicles accompanied by expert rangers.
