Zambezi Sands River Lodge
A traditional tented luxury safari camp, Zambezi Sands is situated on the banks fo the Zambezi River. Each Bedouin tent is raised to maximize the river view and the ever changing vista.
Zambezi Sands provides a wealth of opportunities for drives and walks with experienced guides, while the Zambezi River itself invites exploration by inflatable canoe or motorised launch. However, relaxing in your private splash pool on your deck overlooking the Zambezi is also just as enjoyable. Elephant can be found loitering on the mainland or in the river, while hippo, waterbuck and bushbuck frequent the reed banks and islands. Lions can be heard calling at night and the birdlife is prolific - African finfoot, African skimmer, pratincoles and Pel’s fishing owl all occur here. Zambezi Sands is an hour from Victoria Falls Airport or a bit longer on the more scenic route!

The lodge is perfectly positioned on the banks of the Zambezi River. Guests can enjoy sunset cruises while cruising the Zambezi, looking out for the elephant who drink off the banks and all the other aquatic and bird life that call this area home. Guided canoe trips meander through the small islands and along the banks of the Zambezi looking for the abundant bird life and other animals. Zambezi Sands offer game walks with a professional guide around the Zambezi National Park. Tiger Fishing is popular at Victoria Falls and this can be done from the lodge itself! Cultural tours are available to a local school with an interaction with the children.
Victoria Falls has a host of activities; helicopter flights over the falls, guided tour of Victoria Falls, swimming in the Devils Pool, white water rafting, bungee jumping, gorge swing, canopy tour, curio market and so much more.
