The Namib Naukluft Lodge Description
The Namib Naukluft Lodge offers a total of 16 comfortable guest rooms; each of the rooms is equipped with comfortable beds, a small refrigerator, telephone (direct dialling), air ventilation, en-suite bathrooms and a private verandah offering magnificent views. The Camping Site is situated approximately 5 km from the Namib Naukluft Lodge and sites offer barbeque/braai facilities as well as communal shower and toilet facilities. The camping site is ideal for families and groups traveling together. The site is also suited for small functions. Beautiful weddings have taken place at this secluded spot, protected by Granite Mountains and a view over the desert plains.
The Namib Naukluft Lodge Game Viewing and Activities
Activities on offer at Namib Naukluft Lodge include the Sossusvlei Excursion arranged by the lodge in a 4x4 overland vehicle and include a snack as well as a full breakfast served underneath shady Camelthorn trees. Daily sundowner nature drives are available on the Private Nature Reserve, where guests can expect to see game, like oryx, springbok and ostrich. A 2-hour Walking Trail in the Naukluft Mountains of the Private Nature Reserve is available. It is called the Zebra Trail and offers easy walking. Guests can book a guide or walk on their own, as the trail is well marked and they make take a radio-phone with. Balloon safaris as well as Scenic flights are also available, however, pre-booking is required.
