Whale Away Guest House offers four beautiful and luxurious bedrooms as well as one Honeymoon Suite offering magnificent sea views and a private balcony. Each bedroom has the following facilities: built in air-conditioning, a mini bar, coffee tray, satellite television with built in DVD, safe and electrical port. Some rooms have patios onto the swimming pool and some rooms have balconies with sea views. Room 4 walks onto a patio into the garden offering beautiful mountain views. The rooms are luxurious and spacious with en-suite bathroom facilities. Whale Away offers scrumptious breakfasts in the dining room or patio and dinners can be enjoyed at a variety of nearby restaurants. The Guest House also offers a swimming pool.

Hermanus (originally called Hermanuspietersfontein) is situated on the southern coast of South Africa and is legendary for its whales during the southern winter and spring. It forms part of the Western Cape and is a popular tourist town offering magnificent beaches, history, culture as well as a multitude of outdoor activities. The whales can be seen from the cliffs in the town centre from as early as June. They were once hunted locally, but are now protected. The Old Harbour Museum contains several exhibitions which explain the whaling history of Hermanus.
