The name, Mana Pools, comes from the 4 permanent pools that form in the meandering Zambezi River. The word 'Mana' comes from the local Shona word for 'four'.
This National Park has the country’s biggest concentration of hippos and crocodiles, as well as the large populations of elephant and buffalo, which flock to the permanent pools in the dry winter months.

Day 1 to 4 - Ruckomechi Camp , Mana Pools National Park
On arrival at Victoria Falls airport, you will be met by a representative and transferred by light aircraft to Ruckomechi Camp in Mana Pools National Park for 4 nights. Activities at Ruckomechi Camp include open 4x4 game drives with a qualified ranger & tracker, guided nature walks and boat safaris. Night drives are also available on the private concession and fising is available depeniing on the season on a catch and release basis.
Ruckomechi Camp is located in a prime area of Mana Pools. Overlooking the Zambezi River, the setting is spectacular and each luxurious tent overlooks this ever changing view. Each tent is en suite and the shower has a full window while the deck has a sitting area and both overlook the river. Inside is spacious and luxurious with a lounge area. The main lodge has a pool and fire pit.
Day 5 - Transfer to Victoria Falls Airport
After breakfast and morning activities, guests are transferred by light aircraft to Victoria Falls airport in time for their onward travel arrangements.
