Client Feedback : Ulusaba Safari Lodges and Beach Break in Maldives

Janelle’s guests stayed at Richard Branson’s Ulusaba lodges in the Greater Kruger, before flying to the ultra island paradise of the Maldives. They enjoyed a big five safari while staying at Ulusaba Rock Lodge and Ulusaba Safari Lodge, and a tropical break to a newly built lodge in the Maldives paradise called You & Me. From bush breaks to Indian ocean islands, Janelle’s client certainly experienced the best of contrasting landscapes.  Here is Janelle’s client feedback :  Hi Janelle! Our trip was AMAZING! Thank you for all your help! We loved every minute of it. Our favorite part was S Africa. We cannot say enough about the Ulusaba lodges and the staff. The lodges were incredible…we felt so at home, we fell in love with the staff and our guide and tracker…the food was amazing. Everything was top notch. I literally cried when we left saying goodbye to everyone. We saw the big 5, saw a HUGE herd of elephants playing on our last day which was a definite highlight and something we will never forget, we saw several leopards (one eating a kill and chasing hyenas away), a pride of lions, hippos out of the water, tons of wild dogs, etc. It was the trip of a lifetime. I will send you some photos. You and Me was also great! There was an issue when we landed at the airport…even though we were on time, they had sent our seaplane on its way without us so we had to wait for another one. It worked out fine but was a little annoying after such a long trip. The resort was beautiful…we enjoyed scuba diving on 2 days. Being brand new, the resort definitely has some improvements it could make in their service. The service at the restaurants was lacking a bit (although the staff was very friendly), the beach chairs are not comfortable at all but the scenery is to die for and we LOVED our room and how it was just sitting in the middle of the water. So gorgeous! Thank you for your help and I will definitely recommend you guys to others!...

Client Feedback : Hluluwe Safari Circuit in KwaZulu Natal

Michelle arranged an incredible KwaZulu Natal safari for her guests. It was a varied choice of camps and lodges, which provided a diverse wildlife experience. Walt and Sharon stayed at Rhino Ridge in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park, Makakatana on the banks of Lake St. Lucia within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, and the Thanda Tent Camp in KwaZulu Natal. Here is their feedback :  Hi Michelle….back from our trip and all had a great time. Game viewing not as strong as Sabi Sands by a long shoot but still fun. We really liked all three lodges. As usual, the shuttles were right on time, in fact always waiting for us at the airport and lodges. A few comments by location that you might find helpful. Rhino Ridge… Great room, great common area and excellent food. The dinner in the boma was good, sand was very loose so chairs sank in…no biggie. Staff excellent and game drives very good even if no off rooding allowed. Our ranger, Thebaca, ( hope I spelled correctly) was very good but also very soft spoken. Great animals except no cats at all were seen. The area is very large and limited by road only viewing. Makakatana…. Again, great facility, great folks, excellent food, and super service. The staff actually learned our names even though we were there only 3 nights! Very limited game, no predators present in their area so prey stock seemed out of balance. Loved the included drinks! River trip was great and boat host Warwick was excellent. Lots of hippos! The beach trip is a negative. Nothing really to do once there and beach access was terrible. A large hill of sand to both go down and up (see photo) really not suitable for most folks. Should be a full disclosures about it. We all felt not a good experience, except to say we touched the Indian Ocean. Thanda Tent Camp… Super! The tents were great, excellent food, loved the included drinks. Great game viewing despite its limited area. Our ranger, Vincent, and tracker, Derrick, were some of the best we have had. Great off-road driving for that up-close experience we are used to. The on-site photographer was great and Jain, Mike and I learned a lot from his free 2+ hour session. Highly recommend that to all interested in photography, despite their skill level. Tip…..tent 13 has great views but is a LONG uphill climb; staff said a 1/3 mile hike! We spent one night there then changed to a much closer tent….too old for it I am afraid! Thanks for all your help in planning this trip. All of the Africa...

Client Feedback : Mana Pools National Park

Natasha’s repeat guests stayed in the wildlife rich region of Mana Pools National Park. For Ray Yirui Heng, Natasha chose Nyamatusi on the banks of the Zambezi River and Kanga Bush Camp, also in the heart of the national park. There are only 12 guests allowed at camp, each accommodated in supreme, simple luxury. Natasha says, “Awesome feedback and photos from my repeat guest for his pre wedding honeymoon”. Here is their feedback :  Here we go! I’ve also added a review for Nyamatusi Mahogany online! We chose the camps right thanks to you. Kanga was wild and splendid – almost all our sightings were there. The team was impeccable, probably the best we have ever experienced. We were given an upgrade to Nyamatusi Mahogany – not sure if this was ABC or your doing 🙂 fantastic new camp, and so so beautiful. We were the only guys on one night and it was marvellous. Thank you again for an amazing trip before the wedding. The true exclusivity and heartening feel is reminiscent of the best times we have had out in the bush – and you know we are seasoned Safari goers. Nothing can replace the moment I walked with wild dogs....

Client Feedback : Cape to Kruger to Vic Falls

Liselle’s clients enjoyed a Kruger safari combined with a trip to coastal Cape Town and the mighty Victoria Falls. Their trip offered the best of the Cape with a stay at the luxury Franschhoek Country House in the world-renown winelands. The Cape Cadogan is a discerning Victorian style boutique hotel hideaway in the leafy suburbs of central Cape Town. Nsala Safari Camp and Arathusa were the safari destinations of choice, both located within private reserves in the Kruger. Nsala was an authentic safari experience and Arathusa touched on typical Sabi Sand luxury. The breathtaking Victoria Falls proved to be yet another highlight of their tour. At the falls they stayed at the David Livingstone. Cape Cadogan Franschhoek Country House Nsala Safari Camp Arathusa Safari Lodge David Livingstone Lodge Here is their feedback : Hi Lizelle, We had a fabulous time – everything exceeded our expectations!! We arrived home on the 29th of May- after wonderful visit with our grandchildren in England. Starting our trip in Cape Town, was super and we loved the Cape Cadogan – beautiful room, excellent breakfast and very helpful staff! Our day tours were great as was Mark Shelton who was very nice and full of information. Franschhoek Country House: We loved the town, loved our Garden Cottage and had wonderful meals Ben was a helpful and very friendly manager!  I would love to return there!! The wine tour was wonderful and Mark took us to great places.  Stellenbosch was also very nice, but we didn’t have much time there – as we had to get back to Cape Town. Our driver, whose name escapes me, was also very nice who drove us  back and forth from Franschhoek, to Table Mt  then to the dock to get to Robbens Island – which was very informational and finally to the airport. Nsala Safari Camp had very welcoming staff, and very good food. We did see a lot of animals on safari, and Sandy and his family had a wonderful firepit dinner for us, in a dried up river bed,  which was a lovely surprise and spectular for our last night. Arathusa was the complete opposite of Nsala, which made for interesting comparisons. It truly was deluxe and we enjoyed every minute including a wonderful massage! Food there was also very good. The staff were amazing and knew us all by name. The animals we saw were awe inspiring – it was truly amazing!! We saw the big 5 several times, which was wonderful. It was very nice to be upgraded to a suite at the David Livingston Lodge- that is a superior place. Victory Falls was...

Client Feedback : Lion Sands in Sabi Sand

Liselle’s clients enjoyed a high end safari in the world-renown Sabi Sand. Liselle selected Lion Sands River Lodge and Lion Sands Tinga Lodge, both premier lodges located within the big five reserve. Both five star lodges offered something unique to Liselle’s guests. At Tinga Lodge guests can even opt to stay in the stellar Tinyaleti treehouse, a romantic haven in the midst of the bushveld. Tinga and River Lodge offer the ultimate in sophistication and elegance; coupled with unsurpassed game viewing opportunities. Dear Liselle: I begin to think that I am getting old but not forgetful. We arrived in Lisbon very tired, that’s why old age, just for that, a very long trip on our way back home! Our trip to Lion Sands once again was unforgettable, worth 100%.  River and Tinga Lodge are both excellent. The remodeling to River Lodge is very tasteful, the attention of its staff, the quality of the food, it is the complete package! Despite all that, we feel nostalgia for the previous hotel! Tinga Lodge is smaller and more in accordance with my taste, delicious food with lots of salads and fish which we needed since we were already stuffed with food! The hotel is a bit older but impeccable,  super exciting game drives, we saw everything and more, we should have stayed more days. Without your help, none of this would have been possible; once again thanks to our super travel agent for always spoiling us so much, we are already planning the next! Virginia & Valerio...

Client Feedback : Makumu Safari Lodge in the Kruger

Makumu Safari Lodge is located in the Greater Kruger deep in the heart of the big 5 Klaserie Pivate Nature Reserve and Liselle’s clients enjoyed a phenomenal stay in an exclusive area. There’s even a camp out experience for longer stay guests, and the main lodge is located in an exclusive, private area of the reserve. Located on a a raised area, Makumu provides expansive views of the wilderness beyond. There are only 6 suites, each beautifully appointed and designed with comfort and style. Located on the banks of the Klaserie River, Makumu not only offers the opportunity to spot big game, but boasts a spectacular natural landscape.  Here is their feedback : Hello Liselle Just a quick note to let you know how much Nellie and I enjoyed staying at Makumu Lodge.   We have stayed at many different places over the years, but I can assure you this tops all other.  It was absolutely fantastic, 5 star in every respect, and I can highly recommend it to others. It is a small exclusive boutique lodge, but in addition to it being small, for the 3 days we were there, we were the only guests!  The safari game drives  were excellent as well.  The Zulu king bed  suite was amazing.  And the food…., and the company during breakfasts and dinners with the managers,  and owner on the last day….  I really can’t say enough about it. Thanks for putting us into this lodge!! Best regards Bill...

Client Feedback : Wine Country to Safari Bushveld

Liselle’s guests enjoyed a magical holiday in South Africa, and certainly made the most of their time in the country. Liselle ensured her guests enjoyed the best of what’s on offer in the country. From safari, to wine country and lush forested regions; Kristin and Carter certainly explored the wealth of wonders in South Africa. They stayed at : More Quarters in the trendy part of Cape Town’s city centre, the opulent Majeka House in the heart of the Stellenbosch’s winelands, Simbavati River Lodge in the Kruger’s famous Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, and the sub-tropical Phinda Forest Lodge in a rare sand forest in Kwazulu Natal.  Here is their feedback :  Hi Liselle, We have returned from our absolutely MAGICAL holiday in South Africa, and so I wanted to pass along our thanks and give you our thoughts on everything!  I can’t thank you enough for your expert recommendations.  The trip was absolutely perfect, and I know much of that was due to your recommendations and arrangement so we didn’t need to worry about a thing.  For helping us create the most memorable experience- THANK YOU! We found South Africa to be an absolutely amazing country, and we know we only scratched the surface.  The hospitality and people were so warm and friendly.  We felt welcomed and at home everywhere we went.  To be made felt comfortable on the opposite side of the world is a pretty remarkable thing. THE FOOD AND WINE were amazing!  We consider ourselves foodies, enjoying the best food and wine we can find, and South Africa was absolutely wonderful!  Amazing flavors, creative food, locally sourced… amazing. Some of the specifics of the trip: More Quarters was a perfect home base for our adventures in Cape Town.  Lovely staff and beautiful accommodations.  It was great to have more space upon arrival.  The location was perfect and we loved being in a more quiet neighborhood instead of downtown or in a more touristy neighborhood.  You NAILED it!  We would not have changed a thing. The car rental was also a breeze, and you were right, driving was fine, expect my husband kept putting the windshield wipers on instead of the turn signal 🙂 Majeka House was also a lovely and quiet stay.  We liked being again in a neighborhood and outside of the touristy downtown.  The interior design was a little quirky, but it was a lovely stay.  We did the Franshoek wine tram one day and had an absolute blast. SIMBAVATI – OH MY!  This absolutely knocked our socks off.  You absolutely understood what we were looking for, and I can’t imagine there being a...
