Natasha put together the perfect Botswana itinerary, ensuring guests enjoyed the best of the game-rich Savuti region and intricate waterways of the Okavango Delta. Her guests stayed at the Xugana Island Lodge – one of the original lodges in the Okavango Delta, Savuti Safari Lodge in the world-renown Chobe National Park and Camp Xakanaxa in the Moremi Game Reserve. It seems Natasha’s guests experienced the best of both land and water safari while on holiday in Botswana.

Thanks for checking. We did indeed have a wonderful time—the Okavango was the high point of a really good summer.
We enjoyed all three camps, but especially Xugana and Savute. They were both managed effectively and charmingly, and we had truly exceptional guides in each (Bevan in Xugana and Isak in Savute). We couldn’t have asked for better. We saw most of the species on our wish list (Sitatunga, Honey Badger, Kory Bustard among them) and had many other great encounters with birds and animals. Flights and transfers all worked well.
At Xakanaxa we were assigned a guide who wouldn’t go on the water, and since that is what we wished to do we ended up being added to other river cruises with an assortment of guides. I think the management team could have handled it better, but that was the only small disappointment in an otherwise outstanding trip.
Hopefully we’ll be able to return before too many years have passed.
