Client Feedback : Klaserie Sands River Lodge and Arathusa in Kruger

Liselle’s clients enjoyed a spectacular safari in the Greater Kruger, and explored the wilderness areas of the game-rich Klaserie Private Nature Reserve and the famed Sabi Sand. They observed abundant game and managed to see 3 big cat predators.  Liselle handpicked two lodges for her clients – Klaserie Sands River Lodge and Arathusa Safari Lodge

Here is Liselle’s client feedback from Hedy Wermer.

Hi Liselle,

I’m responding to your inquiry to Adam and Adrienne because I want you to know how spectacular the trip was from my perspective. Both Klaserie and Arathusa were luxurious yet unpretentious, with comfortable, beautiful rooms, exceptionally friendly, warm and attentive staff and delicious food. The wilderness settings for both lodges were stunning.

At Arathusa, we had hippos, elephants, baboons, monkeys, warthogs, several kinds of antelope and numerous birds within a few feet of the pool deck and lawns; at Klaserie we had vervet monkeys in the trees above us where we sat on the deck and watched a parade of impalas and elephants come down to the pond to drink.

The safari guides and trackers were outstanding at both places. We saw the “big five” within our first 24 hours on the ground and saw roughly 50 species of animals (including all three big cats…my favorite was a baby leopard) and 70 species of birds (and those were only the ones we could positively identify) during the week. It was magical. I should also add that the trip, including the game drives on rough terrain, was entirely manageable for a relatively fit 70 year old.  We all had a wonderful time.

Thanks again for setting this up for us.

Hedy Wermer (Adam’s mother)
