The Mighty Victoria Falls River Lodge is a Must See

Victoria Falls River Lodge

The Victoria Falls River Lodge in the Zambezi National Park has always been a firm favourite destination for those seeking the pinnacle of luxury close to the “Smoke that Thunders”. Just recently, the lodge did a soft refurb and added splash pools to all of their luxury tents; adding value to a place that is already a top notch lodge in our books.

Another unique selling point for the Victoria Falls River Lodge is its location. Being the first private game lodge to be set in the Zambezi National Park, it certainly sets the standard for safari lodges in the area. If you don’t already know, Victoria Falls is a waterfall located on the Zambezi River between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Falls are believed to be the largest in the world in terms of the volume of water that flows over them.

Muted khaki hues, shadows of aqua-marine and touches of natural wood create an earthy and quietly luxurious atmosphere throughout the lodge. Resting on the banks of the powerful Zambezi River, the Victoria Falls River Lodge most certainly is located in an enviable position – you can even see the “smoke” rising up off the falls. The Zambezi River forms a natural habitat for aquatic and semi-aquatic wildlife such as hippos and crocs. Stay at this lodge you’ll enjoy the best of a water and land based safari.
