Natasha Allan prepared a trip for her guests, Chris & Susan Crawley, where they visisted the authentic nThambo Tree Camp in the Klaserie Private Reserve in Kruger. Chris shared the following feedback:
“Hi Natasha,
Thanks for the follow-up – we had a good time at the Nthambo Tree camp Lodge and saw lots of animals – this was the highlight.
The guides (Kevin and Isaac) were excellent – well experienced and we felt safe.
As the managers were away while we were there, they ended up doing double-duty – with paperwork, serving tables and drinks etc.
Food was hearty and good – although not outstanding.
Accommodations were good.
The weather was cooler (around 20C) and drizzled when we arrived through Tuesday morning and the room was cool – as you would expect.
By Tuesday afternoon the heat came on fast and by the time we left it was hot – around 37C.
Our room fan never worked – electricity was out one day – and sleeping in the heat was difficult which also brought out the mosquitos on the last night.
Nevertheless we really enjoyed the experience.
Overall I thought it a bit expensive for what was received in accommodations but the safari experience was unbeatable.
