Zambia’s Kafunta Lodge Guest Review – Client Feedback by Natasha Allan

Natasha’s client, John, stayed at the Kafunta Lodge in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
Howzit Natasha!

Still in Jo’burg – fly back to the Uk next Tuesday. Safely back from Zambia after a great 5-days at Kafunta Lodge. Have attached a few photos as requested. I think you’ll gather from them that we saw a wide range of animals and had a wonderful time on safari.
Day and night drives every day, good company, knowledgeable guides, a very comfortable chalet and excellent food. What more could anyone want!? It was absolutely marvellous and I’m so glad I’ve been there!

Soon got used to the early morning starts, and back by 11.30am for a brunch, then “downtime” till 3.30pm when we got ready for the late afternoon/evening drive. Sundowners in the Park, then a night drive and back to the camp for 8.00pm meal.

I saw lots of animals I’d not seen before in the wild eg. genets, civets, a porcupine, and many different species of birds not seen in SA. The attached photos only skim the surface and I’ll have over 3 hours of movie to edit and organise when I get back home.

So a great trip from every point of view! I can thoroughly recommend the camp, which manages to retain a rustic feel to it whilst still maintaining a comfortable standard of accommodation. The absence of any fences always provided the likelihood of animals wandering through the camp, indeed we had a herd of 9 elephants plodding right past my chalet door one afternoon!! Then you know you’re definitely in the REAL Africa!

So, a great trip all round! Enjoy the photos, and thanks for arranging everything!

Best Regards!
