The remaining two Mapogo lions have marched onto the Singita area in the Sabi Sand. Game Ranger and photographer Dylan Brandt, photographed them yesterday as they trailed a large herd of buffalo.

Just the other day they were seen further south-east on the Sabi Sabi traverse, so it just goes to show the distances they are now covering. Is it because they are trailing any herd of buffalo they come across, or because they are avoiding pressure from dominant males in the Sabi Sabi, Lion Sands and Umkumbe areas?

Anyone with intimate knowledge please let us know!
