Zungulila Bush Camp
South Luangwa National Park
Zambia

Introduction

Zungulila Camp is situated between Kapamba and Bilimungwe Camps in a remote corner of the South Luangwa National Park. The camp is dedicated to walking safaris and offers guests the opportunity to explore the area with qualified and experienced guides. Zungulila Camp is small and intimate and accommodates private groups of four or more guests, thus offering a traditional and personalized safari experience.

Lodge Description

Zungulila is a seasonal camp consisting of four spacious tents with en-suite facilities. A bamboo veranda offers magnificent views over a few hippo pools and the surrounding floodplain on which several natural springs attract huge herds of plains game daily. The tents are spacious and cool, built under thatch roofs, and all tents have hot and cold running water.

Game Viewing

South Luangwa Valley is amongst the wildest places in Africa to view big cats, Elephants and other game. The emphasis at Zungulila will be on walking safaris. There is a large elephant population here, as well as Thornicrofts Giraffe, Puku and the more common species, which can be seen in large numbers, not to mention the fantastic hippo population in the river. Eland and Sable occur in the more remote areas of the park. Pels Fishing Owl, Carmine Bee-eater colonies and over 40 species of raptor make Luangwa a birders paradise. Zungulila Camp offers walking safaris only.
