Lodge Description

Walkersons Hotel has 23 rooms consisting of 1 Manor Suite, containing two bedrooms and two bathrooms and in addition includes a large flat screen television, DVD player and CD player, 10 Luxury Lakeside Suites, these are large contemporary suites with two bathrooms, twin inside and one outside shower, Morso wooden fireplace and additional kitchenette facilities including microwaves, 12 Lakeside Suites, traditional suites are thatched, have full en-suite bathrooms and an open fireplace. All the above suites are equipped with views, a private patio, a fireplace, a mini bar, Tea and coffee making facilities, 16 channel television, Room Service, Writing desk and stationary, a Telephone and wall safe. The hotel also offers five star, fully furnished self-catering cottage: Lookout Cottage consists of a self-catering cottage which contains three bedrooms (sleep up to 6 people, with one king size bed, two single beds and one Queen size bed), with two bathrooms, dining room, lounge and kitchen. Children are also welcome in the cottage which offers greater independence through self-catering or the use of certain hotel facilities if required. The cottage offers all the same facilities of the hotel suites other than Room Service, mini bar and telephone. Guests are however entitled to use the Hotel Spa, gym facilities and the bar and Terrace restaurant. The cuisine is of very high standard and qualified chefs will cater for all appetites.

Activities

Walkersons offer a variety of activities on site as well as in the surrounding area. Guests can enjoy long walks along the mountain stream which feeds a series of well stocked trout dams. Fly fishing is available, for the more adventurous, horse riding is available as well as picnics, hikes, the gym or the swimming pool. Other activities include quad biking, golf as well as the birds of prey centre.
