On this short and sweet 4 night safari trip, you will be able to experience the majesty of huge herds of elephant and buffalo in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park. Camp Hwange is a classic safari camp on Sinamatella private concession in the north of the Hwange National Park. Somalisa Camp offers a unique location on an island along the edge of an ancient seasonal flood plain in the Hwange National Park providing spectacular scenery, incredible wildlife viewing and a remote and traditional bush experience.
Activities are centred on game drives and walks or a combination of the two and take place in the private concession and in Hwange National Park as a whole. Walks are especially exciting with guides who pride themselves on their knowledge and experience.

Days 1 to 3 -
Camp Hwange
, Hwange National Park
On arrival at Victoria Falls airport, guests will be met by their guides who will transfer them to their first camp in a private concession in the north of Hwange National Park; Camp Hwange. This road transfer takes guests through Ndebele villages and the prime game territory that is Hwange National Park - so the safari begins immediately. Camp Hwange is a Classic Safari Camp on a private concession deep in Sinamatella area, which is only a three hour drive from Victoria Falls; a drive that takes guests on a two hour game drive.
Camp Hwange's accommodation is in 8 large, thatched Chalets with canvas and gauze sides, which all over look a large waterhole. En suite facilities include flushing toilets and solar heated showers, which, along with the solar-powered lighting, lowers the environmental footprint. The main living area includes a dining room, bar and lounge area with an open-air fire pit with an incredible view of the stars. Activities are centered on game drives and walks – or a combination of the two - and take place on the private concession as well as in the Hwange Reserve.
Days 3 to 5 - Somalisa Camp , Hwange National Park
After indulging in the morning's game activities at Ivory Lodge, guests are transferred by road to their next authentic safari accommodation. Set in a huge private concession in the heart of Hwange National Park Somalisa Camp is superbly remote and accentuates the genuin bush camp feel. Somalisa has mastered the art of blending understated elegance with African charm to offer an exclusive wildlife experience. This is where guests will enjoy their 2 last nights in Hwange.
Its stunning location, tucked away on an acacia island along the edge of an ancient seasonal floodplain, gives it breathtaking views of the savannah plains of the famous Kennedy Vlei. After the first rains have fallen, the vlei transforms as it is littered with the flamboyant colours of seasonal wild flowers. Once the grass begins to dry out large herds of buffalo, zebra and elephant are to be found in abundance.
Day 5 - Depart back to Victoria Falls Airport
After breakfast and morning activities, guests are transferred by road back to Victoria Falls airport in time for their onward travel arrangements.
