Shishangeni Private Lodge is situated on a 15,000 hectare private concession in the south-eastern section of the world-renowned Kruger National Park. This legendary wildlife reserve has the reputation for some of the best game-viewing on the continent. Shishangeni Lodge offers a luxurious and personal safari experience.

Lodge Description

Shishangeni Private Lodge offers accommodation in 22 individual chalets, accommodating 44 guests. The chalets are all luxuriously appointed with a private game-viewing deck as well as a mini bar, fireplace, outdoor shower and sitting area. Inter-leading rooms are ideal for families and are available upon request. The main house of Shishangeni Lodge is a massive double-volume thatch, timber and brick construction in the shape of a shield with a wooden deck running its length. The central area consists of a spacious lounge, library, intimate bar, swimming pool, as well as an indoor and outdoor dining area, wine cellar and gymnasium. There are also conference facilities for small groups. The Lodge has direct dial telephones, internet access and facsimile facilities.

Game Viewing

Game viewing at Shishangeni is of a high standard and compares with the best in the world. Guests can expect to see lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, cheetah, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and other game on game drives. Days at Shishangeni Lodge begins with a game drive accompanied by a qualified ranger and tracker. Guests not only get close to Big Game but also learn to identify birds and trees, taste edible fruit, follow in the footsteps of animals great and small and learn about local bush lore.
