Okavango Delta Safari Camp

Offering the ultimate personal experience and service, Shinde Enclave is a safari camp within another camp giving the visitor the definitive Botswana wilderness experience. Built on raised teak decks, overlooking windswept papyrus beds and being made up of three luxurious tents the area is residence to numerous aquatic species including the elusive situanga. This perfect retreat offers a private dining and lounge area after a days activities. This wonderful hideaway offers the services of a private chef, waiter and housekeeper as well as the services of your own private guide and vehicle.

Camp Description

The enclave provides accommodation for a maximum of 6 guests in 3 twin bedded mosquito proofed tents, each equipped with hot and cold running water and a flushing toilet all in the privacy of an en-suite bathroom. The private dining area and viewing deck are all in close proximity to tents affording an exclusive hideaway and unbelievable location from which a family or small group of friends can explore the Okavango Delta. The camp offers a private Boma, bar, dining area, lounge overlooking the lagoon. The minimum nights guests can stay is 3 nights.

Game Viewing

Due to the Shinde Enclave being in the Shinde Consession it offers a range of both land and water activities available throughout all seasons. Activities include early morning and late afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles. Together with a local poler you can navigate the delta aboard a mokoro along the deltas tranquil waterways. Other optional activities include walking trails, power boat trips and fishing all to be planned and taken with your private professional guide. There is access to the Gadikwe Heronry. Included in the wide variety of game found at Shinde, the rarely spotted Sitatunga antelope are regularly sighted. There is fly and spin fishing throughout the year, with the best months being May to November.
