Introduction

Serondella, “the place of the Elephant”. Situated in the heart of the Thornybush Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park, home to the famous Big Five; here guests will be able to experience undivided attention, exhilarating game viewing and luxurious accommodation.

Lodge Description

Serondella Lodge can accommodate a maximum of eight guests in four suites. There is one family suite, all suites have air-conditioning. Serondella Lodge is an ideal safari destination for families and photographers alike. The viewing hides allow bird lovers an excellent opportunity to encounter the game reserve’s 507 different species of bird as well as regular visits by other animals. Facilities at the lodge include a swimming pool, curio shop, elevated viewing hides and a boma area.

Game Viewing

Serondella offers game drives in open Land Rovers and guided bush walks. Guests can expect to see lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and other general game on game drives. Bird watching is phenomenal in the area. The day begins with a game drive of approximately four hours, accompanied by a qualified ranger and tracker. The night game viewing is an experience of its own. Nocturnal sightings might include bush babies, the elusive genet, or predators hunting and stalking their prey.
