Spurwing Island Description

Spurwing Island offers three different types of accommodation including tents, cabins and chalets catering for a maximum of 40 guests. All units offer en-suite facilities, private verandas, mosquito nets and insect repellent. The lodge offers a thatched dining area open on the one side where meals are served. The camp also offers a swimming pool as well as a bar. The camp is surrounded by an electric fence to ensure guests' safety. Hot water is supplied by solar heating and electricity by means of a generator making the camp environmentally friendly. A laundry service is available at a small fee. Spurwing Island also has a Gift Shop.

Spurwing Island Activities and Game Viewing

Matusadona National Park is world renowned for offering fantastic game viewing. The park is renowned for its predators such as lions, cheetah and leopard. Fortunate guests might spot the endangered black rhino. Large herds of elephant and buffalo are frequently seen as well as other wildlife including hippo, buffalo, crocodile, impala, kudu, waterbuck, zebra, baboon and over 400 species of birds.
