Gache Gache Lodge is located across Lake Kariba in The Gache Gache Estuary in the eastern basin of Lake Kariba approximately 3 km upstream of the lake. Gache Gache offers visitors the ideal spot to explore the area with its magnificent views and incredible wildlife viewing opportunities. Gache Gache Lodge offers a variety of wildlife activities and superb guiding combined with comfortable thatched chalets.

Gache Gache Lodge Description

Gache Gache Lodge offers 10 African chalets with en-suite facilities, private verandas offering beautiful views of the lake. All chalets have showers, a hand basin and a toilet. Seven chalets have twin (3/4) beds and 2 have standard Queen size beds. One of the chalets is considered the 'honeymoon' or 'executive' suite. All chalets have a view of the lake. The main Lodge consists of a dining room, a lounge and bar area. The upstairs area offers a small loft sun lounge. The lodge also offers a small plunge pool and a laundry service is available if required. The Lodge runs off a generator as well as off solar (battery) power. 220-volt power is available most of the day. Three delicious meals are served per day including morning and afternoon teas. The lodge is famous for their bush dinners 'under the stars'.

Gache Gache Lodge Activities and Game Viewing

Gache Gache Lodge offers exciting activities and professional guiding. Activities include boating along the shores of the lake and guests can expect to see hippo, crocodile and elephant; other activities include game drives in open vehicles or guests can track wildlife on foot. For the keen fishermen, Tiger Fishing is available and other species include Tilapia (bream). Night drives are a highlight as well as sunset cruises and bird-watching is fantastic. Gache Gache also offers incredible photographic opportunities.
