The tents are spacious and offer private wooden balconies with magnificent views. Puku Ridge Camp Description
Puku Ridge Camp in South Luangwa National Park is a small and personal tented safari camp that has been built to blend in with the natural environment. Puku Ridge offers seven luxurious and spacious safari tents with breathtaking views of the floodplains. Each of the tents offers en-suite facilities as well as outside showers. Other facilities in the tents include mosquito nets, a private viewing deck, ceiling fans and hairdryers. The main area at Puku Ridge consists of a bar, lounge and dining area offering beautiful views. The main area is connected to the tents by wooden walkways which are lit up at night creating a romantic atmosphere.
Puku Ridge Camp Game Viewing
The South Luangwa National Park offers fantastic game viewing and guests can expect to see elephant, hippo, lion, wild dog, buffalo and a wide variety of antelope in addition to endemic species such as the Thornicroft's giraffe. The area offers superb leopard viewing. Activities include game drives and night drives in the South Luangwa National in open 4X4 vehicles. The park is renowned for walking safaris and offers guests close up encounters with wildlife. All wildlife activities are accompanied by experienced and professional guides. The area is home to 60 mammals and over 400 bird species, making it one of the top birding destinations in the world. Lions and leopards are often seen in the area around Puku Ridge Camp, as are buffalo and elephant. Hyena and leopard are also frequently seen in the early evenings. Herds of antelope can regularly be seen on the floodplains in front of the camp as well as predators following closely.
